Who we are

Paterson Consulting Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11581253). Our registered office is at Parkers Cornelius House, 178-180 Church Road, Hove, East Sussex, BN3 2DJ. What data we collect

We do not collect personal data through contact forms, account registration or newsletter sign-ups on this website. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us by email.

When you browse the site, our hosting and analytics providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referral source, pages visited and the dates and times of visits. This information is generally anonymous and cannot be used to identify you on its own.

Cookies and analytics

We load Google Tag Manager (container GTM-57ZZQ73D) as the single tag loader on this site. Google Tag Manager itself does not collect personal data; it loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-8WJRDGZQ01), which measures site usage on our behalf.

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Until you accept analytics cookies, analytics storage, advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are all set to denied, so no analytics or advertising cookies are written to your device. If you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies used for aggregated reporting. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so we do not ask again. We do not run advertising or remarketing tags on this site.

Analytics data is retained by Google according to the retention period configured in our Google Analytics property (14 months by default) and is then deleted. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which restores the consent prompt. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using the browser add-on provided by Google.

How we use your data

We use the limited information we hold to:

• respond to enquiries you send us by email;
• operate, maintain and improve the website;
• understand how visitors use the site through aggregated analytics; and
• comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

Legal basis for processing

We process enquiry emails on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to potential and existing clients. We process analytics data on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. Analytics providers process technical data on our behalf under data-processing terms. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in connection with legal proceedings.

How long we keep data

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as necessary to manage our relationship with you and then for a reasonable period to comply with legal, accounting or tax obligations. Analytics data is retained by our analytics providers according to their own policies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
